About the Author

Hello there, and welcome to my little corner of the Internet!

My name is Anna Holmberg, and first and foremost, let me establish who I am and what I believe, what is essential to my life: I am a Christian and I believe that the most important thing in any person's life is their relationship with God; the condition of their soul. While I attend a church in the EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) denomination, I believe that the truths outlined in the Apostle's Creed and the basics of the Christian faith (to believe in Jesus' death and resurrection to save us from our sins), are the most important things:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
  creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, universal throughout the ages for those who have not heard an explanation of this

God's plan for my life is sovereign no matter what mine is. Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

Other than that, I am a homeschool alumna and now a college student pursuing my bachelor's degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Music; I play the flute and a very small amount of piano. I have five siblings and we live in an old creaky house full of books and musical instruments. We live close to Flint, MI, but we don't have lead in our water and I don't care whether Green or Blue wins (because I only like European football).

Writing and music are passions of mine; I have been writing my little stories for about six or seven years now, I think. Even before I started writing "for real," I tried very hard in my childhood. I think I still have a book that I tried to write at about 9 years old...and am ashamed to look at it! But I got the chance to self-publish my first book in June of 2017 and that has been very exciting! I've never done anything outstandingly remarkable...but...

What more is there to say?

Please stay awhile, and make yourself as much at home as you can on a blog! Stalk my previous entries as much as you wish, enjoy your read and feel free to comment and ask me any questions you might (or might not) have. I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance!

  1. I look forward to reading more on your blog. Your story about how you got around to writing your book is so similar to me... though I've never actually completed it or therefore published it so you go girl!
I'm PCA so it looks like we have some similarities theologically.
Welcome to the blogging world! I hope you have fun!
