About the Author

Hello there. I despise Google's form letter way of introducing the author, so this is my introduction of myself to you.

My name is Anna Holmberg, as most of you will probably know. And this is obviously my blog. And who exactly am I? Well...as of now, I have just graduated from homeschool high school. I live not twenty minutes from where I was born, and I've lived here in good ol' Michigan for all of my life. I share a room with my two younger sisters and a house with my five siblings and parents, along with NO PETS! Don't get me wrong, pets are great. But they are not practical for us. We've tried.

Anyhoo, first and foremost let me establish who I am and what I believe, what is essential: I am a Christian and I believe that the most important thing in any person's life is their relationship with God; the condition of their soul. While I attend an EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) church, I believe that the truths outlined in the Apostle's Creed and the basics of the Christian faith (to believe in Jesus' death and resurrection to save us from our sins), are the most important:

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
  creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, universal throughout the ages for those who have not heard an explanation of this

God's plan for my life is sovereign no matter what mine is. Proverbs 19:21: "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."

Other than that, I love music: I play the flute and a very small amount of piano, and there seldom is a day around my home that we don't hear someone playing away at something or other. I also love a good book or a good movie, or a good movie version of a good book--I'm not too particular, as long as it's very good indeed.

I have been writing my little stories for about six or seven years now, but even before I started writing "for real," I tried very hard in my childhood. I think I still have a book that I tried to write at about 9 years old...and am ashamed to look at it.  But writing and music are passions of mine.  (I'm also somewhat a fan of USA soccer. Hence this.) 😀
What more is there to say? I can't tell you EVERYTHING about myself. That would be no fun! If you really want me to describe myself, the best way is to stick around and read what I write!

Exactly, Pip. That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Please stay awhile! Enjoy your read and feel free to comment and ask me any questions you might (or might not) have.

  1. I look forward to reading more on your blog. Your story about how you got around to writing your book is so similar to me... though I've never actually completed it or therefore published it so you go girl!
I'm PCA so it looks like we have some similarities theologically.
Welcome to the blogging world! I hope you have fun!

    1. Great to meet you Lois! Sorry for my delay in responding to you but my computer was acting up this morning. No idea why, but it's fine now! (Computers are odd that way.)
That's great, I'm glad to have found yet another kindred spirit! :) And thank you so much!
