The Very First Post: Exciting News!

Well, this is my Very First Post. Ever. In the history of anything. Due to this fact, you'll have to forgive me if I'm extremely too verbose and rambly. I tend to be like that on paper, though in person I'm not--I can think of things to say much more easily when I'm sitting at my own leisure.

Anyhoo, if you read the "About the Author" page, you'll know that I like very much to write, and this Very First Post is to celebrate the Very First Time that I've written anything here!

I know this is a short post. But what else is there to be said? More news is to follow (even if you don't want it), and I hope that this blog thing (I seriously have no idea what I'm doing) works out okay.

  6. Hi! Natalie said you are a friend who just started a blog, so I just checked it out! That's wonderful that you wrote your very own book! My oldest sister wrote one too, but it is Dutch(because we are Dutch). I don't know if it is in English, but probably not. I understand the re- and re-editing, I've done it myself lots of times. I have never published a book, but I do write.
I'm glad to have met another blogger!

  9. YAY!! Welcome to the blogging world, Anna!! :D Your blog looks marvelous! You did a great job on your header.

You description of the editing process for your book made me smile. "THEN when I was almost done, the spacing on the pages was messed up. THEN when I was almost done, I had to add another chapter..." Wow. Sounds like fun! (Haha. Not really. ;P) I'm so glad it all came together at last though. Great job, Anna!!

I just took a look at your blog a moment ago--judging from your header, I discovered that I'm not the only person in the world who has watched Road to Avonlea!!?? What a shock!

Anyhoo, thanks for checking out my blog!

  11. Hello!! I'm Olivia. *waves*

I'm coming from Natalie's post -- it'll be neat to see how your blog takes shape! And it's so cool that one of Natalie's "real live" friends is beginning to blog, too -- I can imagine y'all will have a blast talking about everything. :D Welcome to the blogosphere! :D

Congratulations on your novel!! That's so awesome. And you've already got plans to make it a trilogy? Wow! ("I bypassed the compressor!" << Haha. XD And oh, so that's what those big caps at the beginning of chapters are called! I didn't know there was a way to do that on Microsoft Word. :D)

Also, I may have *ahem* been a bit creepy and tagged you right off the bat.

(I tagged you for the second tag, but either one or neither or both is fine.) I totally understand if you'd rather not do it, though, since it is rather sudden, after all! Hehe. :)

    Again, WELCOME!!!! :)

    1. Hi Olivia!

I will be glad to do the "four fictional characters"! It's not creepy at all! :) The only hard part is deciding on my characters! Hmmm...

Thank you much--you'll hear back from me soon!

  12. Welcome to the blogverse. I found out about your blog from natalie's post.
    I hope you like blogging.
I've got a small-time blog if you want to check it out some time. It's rather in disuse right now. But I've got some stories and stuff on it.
Again, welcome to blogging and best wishes for your book.
P.S. yes Microsoft Word is frustrating. But it does have a lot of useful tools compared to wordpad. I started using Microsoft Word after taking a college class where a teacher taught me to use it right.

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to meet you.
P.S.I agree, there are worse things than having to cope with Microsoft Word.

    1. Hi Miss Woodhouse!

Pleased to meet you indeed! (You know, this is weird but I literally just watched "Emma" two days ago. Hmmm...strange coincidence, isn't it? Such a good movie.)

Anyhoo, good to meet you! :)

    2. Haha How funny! Yes it is an amazing movie!! Which version is your favorite, just out of curiosity?

    3. Sorry for the delay in replying to you! I suddenly got busy over the weekend.

I would have to say that the version with Romola Garai (BBC, of course) is probably the best, being about 4 hours long. I remember liking the Gwynneth Paltrow one, but that was several years ago and I don't remember too much. Perhaps I should watch it again, to compare...:)

    4. Haha that's alright, I totally understand how bust things can get! :)

Really!! Romola Garai is my definite favorite!!! I've only seen Gweneth Paltrow once, and I did enjoy it, But Romola Garai is always the best!! I would also like to watch Gweneth Paltrow again just to give it a second opinion.
